1 Un Neraudzētas maizes svētki, ko sauc Lieldienas, bija tuvu,
2 Un augstie priestep un rakstu mācītāji prātoja, kā viņu nonāvēt, jo tie bijās no ļaudīm.
3 Bet sātāns bija iegājis Jūdā, kuju sauca par Iskariotu, un kujrš bija viens no tiem divpadsmitiem.
4 Un tas nogāja un apspriedās ar augstajiem priesteriem un virsniekiem, kā viņu tiem nodotu.
5 Un tie priecājās un piesolīja viņam naudu.
6 Un viņš piekrita un sāka meklēt izdevību, lai viņu tiem nodotu, ļaudim nezinot.
7 Bet pienāca Neraudzētās maizes diena, kurā Lieldienas jērs bija kaujams,
8 Un viņš sūtija Pēteri un Jāni, sacīdams: „Eita un sataisiet Lieldienas jēru, lai to varam ēst.“
9 Un tie viņam jautāja: „Kur tu gribi, lai mēs to sataisām?“
10 Un viņš tiem sacīja: „Lūk, pilsētā ieejot, jums nāks pretī cilvēks, ūdens krūzi nesdams; eita tam pakaļ tai namā, kur tas ieiet,
11 Un sakait nama kungam: Mācītājs tevi liek jautāt, kur ir tā telpa, kur es ar saviem mācekļiem varu ēst Lieldienas jēru?
12 Un viņš jums rādīs lielu ar segām izklātu augšistabu, turpat to sataisiet.“
13 Tie nogājuši atrada, kā viņš tiem bija sacījis, un sataisīja Lieldienas jēru.
14 Un kad tā stunda pienāca, tad viņš apsēdās pie galda un apustuļi līdz ar viņu.
15 Un viņš tiem sacīja: „Es esmu ļoti ilgojies šo Lieldienas jēru ar jums ēst, pirms es ciešu,
16 Jo es jums saku: es to vairs neēdīšu, tiekāms tas piepildīsies Dieva valstībā.“
17 Un kausu ņēmis, viņš pateicās un sacīja: „Ņemiet un dalait to savā starpā!
18 Jo es jums saku, es nedzeršu no vīna koka augļiem, tiekāms Dieva valstība būs nākusi.“
19 Un maizi ņēmis, viņš pateicās, pārlauza to un tiem to deva, sacīdams: „Tā ir mana miesa, kas par jums top dota. To darait mani pieminēdami!“
20 Tāpat ari kausu pēc vakarēdiena sacīdams: „Šis kauss ir jaunā derība manās asinīs, kas par jums top izlietas.
21 Bet redzi, mana nodevēja roka ir ar mani pie galda.
22 Jo Cilvēka Dēls gan tā aiziet, kā tas nolikts, tomēr vai tam cilvēkam, kas viņuļ nodod!“
23 Un tie sāka apjautāties savā starpā, kurš gan no viņienv tas esot, kas to darīšot.
24 Un tur ari ķilda cēlās viņu starpā, kuļrš no viņiem esot lielākais.
25 Un viņš tiem sacīja: „Ķēniņj valda pār tautām, un varenos sauc par labdariem.
26 Bet jūs tā ne. Bet lielākajam jūsu vidū būs būt kā jaunākajam, un vadonim kā tādam, kas kalpo.
27 Jo kas ir lielāks: vai tas, kas sēž pie galda, vai tas, kas kalpo? Vai ne tas, kas sēž pie galda? Bet es esmu jūsu vidū kā tāds, kas kalpo.
28 Bet jūs esat tie, kas pastāvējuši pie manis manos pārbaudījumos.
29 Un tāpēc es jums novēlu valstību, kā mans Tēvs man to novēlējis,
30 Ka jums būs ēst un dzert pie mana galda manā valstībā un sēdēt uz troņiem un tiesu spriest pār divpadsmit Israēla ciltīm.
31 Sīmani, Sīmani, redzi, sātānam ļoti iegribējies jūs sijāt kā kviešus.
32 Bet es esmu lūdzis par tevi, lai tava ticība nemitētos. Un kad tu atgriezīsies, tad stiprini savus brāļus!“
33 Bet tas viņam sacīja: „Kungs, es esmu gatavs ar tevi iet cietumā un nāvē.“
34 Bet viņš sacīja: „Es tev saku, Pēteri, gailis šodien vēl nebūs dziedājis, kad tu jau trīsreiz būsi liedzies, ka tu mani pazīsti.“
35 Un viņš tiem sacīja: „Kad es jūs sūtīju bez maka un somas un kurpēm, vai jums kā trūka?“ Un tie sacīja: „Nekā!“
36 Tad viņš tiem sacija: „Bet tagad, kam ir maks, tas lai to ņem, tāpat arī somu. Un, kam nav, tas lai pārdod savas drēbes un pērk zobenu.
37 Jo es jums saku, pie manis jāpiepildās tam, kas rakstīts: Viņš noziedzniekiem pieskaitīts. Jo, kas par mani rakstīts, tas piepildās.“
38 Bet tie sacīja: „Kungs, redzi, še ir divi zobeni.“ Un viņš tiem sacīja: „Diezgan.“
39 Un izgājis, viņš gāja pēc sava ieraduma uz Eļļas kalnu, un viņa mācekļi viņam gāja līdz.
40 Un tai vietā nonācis, viņš tiem sacīja: „Lūdziet Dievu, ka jūs nekrītat kārdināšanā.“
41 Un viņš aizgāja no tiem apmēram akmens metiena tālumā un, ceļos nometies, lūdza Dievu
42 Un sacīja: „Tēvs, ja Tu gribi, ņem šo kausu no manis, tomēr ne mans, bet tavs prāts lai notiek!“
43 Bet eņģelis no debesīm viņam parādījās un viņu stiprināja.
44 Bet nāves baiļu pārņemts, viņš Dievu pielūdza jo karsti; bet viņa sviedri kā asins lāses pilēja uz zemi.
45 Un viņš, no lūgšanas cēlies, nāca pie saviem mācekļiem un tos atrada aizmigušus aiz skumjām.
46 Un viņš tiem sacīja: „Ko jūs guļat? Celieties un lūdziet Dievu, ka neiekrītat kārdināšanā!“
47 Un viņam vēl runājot, redzi, nāca pulks ļaužu, un viens no tiem divpadsmitiem, Jūda vārdā, gāja viņu priekšgalā un tuvojās Jēzum, lai viņu skūpstītu.
48 Bet Jēzus viņam sacīja: „Jūda, vai tu skūpstīdams nododi Cilvēka Dēlu?“
49 Un tie, kas pie viņa bija, redzēdami, kas notiek, viņam sacija: „Kungs, vai mums būs cirst ar zobenu?“
50 Un viens no tiem cirta augstā priestera kalpam un nocirta tam labo ausi.
51 Bet Jēzus atbildēja un sacija: „Diezgan! Pietiek.“ Un viņš aizkāra viņa ausi un to dziedināja.
52 Un Jēzus sacīja augstajiem priesteriem un dievnama virsniekiem un vecajiem, kas pret viņu bija sapulcējušies: „Jūs esat izgājuši kā pret slepkavu ar zobeniem un nūjām!
53 Es esmu bijis ikdienas pie jums dievnamā, un jūs savas rokas man neesat pielikuši; bet šī ir jūsu stunda un tumsī-bas vara.“
54 Un tie viņu saņēma un noveda augstā priestera namā Bet Pēteris sekoja no tālienes.
55 Un kad tie uvum bija sakūruši pagalma vidū un kopā sasēdušies, Pēteris apsēdās pie vīniem
56 Un kāda kalpone, to redzēdama sēžam pie uguns, uzlūkoja viņu un sacīja: „Šis arī bija pie vina.“
57 Bet tas vinu aizliedza, sacīdams: „Sieva, es viņu nepazīstu.“
58 Un par mazu brīdi vēl cits, viņu redzēdams, sacīja: „Arī tu esi no viņiem.“ Bet Pēteris sacīja: „Cilvēks, es neesmu.“
59 Un pēc kādas stundas cits to apstiprināja, sacīdams: „Patiesi, arī šis ir bijis pie viņa, jo tas arī ir galilietis.“
60 Bet Pēteris sacīja: „Cilvēks, es nezinu, ko tu runā.“ Un tūliņ, viņam vēl runājot, gailis dziedāja.
61 Un tas Kungs pagriezās un uzlūkoja Pēteri. Tad Pēteris atcerējās tā Kunga vārdu, ko tas vīnam bija sacījis: „Pirms gailis šodien dziedās, tu mani trīs reiz aizliegsi.“
62 Un ārā izgājis, Pēteris sāka gauži raudāt.
63 Bet vīri, kas Jēzu apsargāja, apmēdīja un sita viņu.
64 Un tie aizklāja viņa seju un sita viņu vaigā un vīnam vaicāja, sacīdami: „Pasaki, pravieti, kas tevi sitis?“
65 Arī daudz citu lamu tie viņam sacīja zaimodami.
66 Un kad gaisma ausa, tad tautas vecaji sapulcējās un augstie priesteri un rakstu mācītāji, un tie veda viņu augstās tiesas priekšā
67 Un sacīja: „Ja tu esi Kristus, tad saki mums to.“ Bet viņš tiem sacīja: „Ja es jums saku, jūs neticat.
68 Bet ja es jautāju, tad jūs man neatbildat.
69 Bet no šī laika Cilvēka Dēls sēdēs pie visspēcīgā Dieva labās rokas.“
70 Tad visi sacīja: „Tā tad tu esi Dieva Dēls?“ Un viņš tiem sacīja: „Jūs sakāt, ka es tas esmu.“
71 Un tie sacīja: „Kādas liecības mums vēl vajaga? Jo mēs paši to esam dzirdējuši no viņa mutes.“
A Plot To Kill Jesus
(Matthew 26.1-5Matthew 14Matthew 16Mark 14.1Mark 2Mark 10Mark 11John 11.45-53)1 The Festival of Thin Bread, also called Passover, was near. 2 The chief priests and the teachers of the Law of Moses were looking for a way to get rid of Jesus, because they were afraid of what the people might do. 3 Then Satan entered the heart of Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve apostles.
4 Judas went to talk with the chief priests and the officers of the temple police about how he could help them arrest Jesus. 5 They were very pleased and offered to pay Judas some money. 6 He agreed and started looking for a good chance to betray Jesus when the crowds were not around.
Jesus Eats with His Disciples
(Matthew 26.17-25Mark 14.12-21John 13.21-30)7 The day had come for the Festival of Thin Bread, and it was time to kill the Passover lambs. 8 So Jesus said to Peter and John, “Go and prepare the Passover meal for us to eat.”
9 But they asked, “Where do you want us to prepare it?”
10 Jesus told them, “As you go into the city, you will meet a man carrying a jar of water. Follow him into the house 11 and say to the owner, ‘Our teacher wants to know where he can eat the Passover meal with his disciples.’ 12 The owner will take you upstairs and show you a large room ready for you to use. Prepare the meal there.”
13 Peter and John left. They found everything just as Jesus had told them, and they prepared the Passover meal.
The Lord's Supper
(Matthew 26.26-30Mark 14.22-261 Corinthians 11.23-25)14 When the time came for Jesus and the apostles to eat, 15 he said to them, “I have very much wanted to eat this Passover meal with you before I suffer. 16 I tell you I will not eat another Passover meal until it is finally eaten in God's kingdom.”
17 Jesus took a cup of wine in his hands and gave thanks to God. Then he told the apostles, “Take this wine and share it with each other. 18 I tell you that I will not drink any more wine until God's kingdom comes.”
19 Jesus took some bread in his hands and gave thanks for it. He broke the bread and handed it to his apostles. Then he said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Eat this as a way of remembering me!”
20 After the meal he took another cup of wine in his hands. Then he said, “This is my blood. It is poured out for you, and with it God makes his new agreement. 21 The one who will betray me is here at the table with me! 22 The Son of Man will die in the way that has been decided for him, but it will be terrible for the one who betrays him!”
23 Then the apostles started arguing about who would ever do such a thing.
An Argument about Greatness
24 The apostles got into an argument about which one of them was the greatest. 25 So Jesus told them:
Foreign kings order their people around, and powerful rulers call themselves everyone's friends. 26 But don't be like them. The most important one of you should be like the least important, and your leader should be like a servant. 27 Who do people think is the greatest, a person who is served or one who serves? Isn't it the one who is served? But I have been with you as a servant.
28 You have stayed with me in all my troubles. 29 So I will give you the right to rule as kings, just as my Father has given me the right to rule as a king. 30 You will eat and drink with me in my kingdom, and you will each sit on a throne to judge the twelve tribes of Israel.
Jesus' Disciples Will Be Tested
(Matthew 26.31-35Mark 14.27-31John 13.36-38)31 Jesus said, “Simon, listen to me! Satan has demanded the right to test each one of you, as a farmer does when he separates wheat from the husks. 32 But Simon, I have prayed that your faith will be strong. And when you have come back to me, help the others.”
33 Peter said, “Lord, I am ready to go with you to jail and even to die with you.”
34 Jesus replied, “Peter, I tell you that before a rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will say three times that you don't know me.”
Moneybags, Traveling Bags, and Swords
35 Jesus asked his disciples, “When I sent you out without a moneybag or a traveling bag or sandals, did you need anything?”
“No!” they answered.
36 Jesus told them, “But now, if you have a moneybag, take it with you. Also take a traveling bag, and if you don't have a sword, sell some of your clothes and buy one. 37 Do this because the Scriptures say, ‘He was considered a criminal.’ This was written about me, and it will soon come true.”
38 The disciples said, “Lord, here are two swords!”
“Enough of that!” Jesus replied.
Jesus Prays
(Matthew 26.36-46Mark 14.32-42)39 Jesus went out to the Mount of Olives, as he often did, and his disciples went with him. 40 When they got there, he told them, “Pray that you won't be tested.”
41 Jesus walked on a little way before he knelt down and prayed, 42 “Father, if you will, please don't make me suffer by drinking from this cup. But do what you want, and not what I want.”
43 Then an angel from heaven came to help him. 44 Jesus was in great pain and prayed so sincerely that his sweat fell to the ground like drops of blood.
45 Jesus got up from praying and went over to his disciples. They were asleep and worn out from being so sad. 46 He said to them, “Why are you asleep? Wake up and pray that you won't be tested.”
Jesus Is Arrested
(Matthew 26.47-56Mark 14.43-50John 18.3-11)47 While Jesus was still speaking, a crowd came up. It was led by Judas, one of the twelve apostles. He went over to Jesus and greeted him with a kiss.
48 Jesus asked Judas, “Are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
49 When Jesus' disciples saw what was about to happen, they asked, “Lord, should we attack them with a sword?” 50 One of the disciples even struck at the high priest's servant with his sword and cut off the servant's right ear.
51 “Enough of that!” Jesus said. Then he touched the servant's ear and healed it.
52 Jesus spoke to the chief priests, the temple police, and the leaders who had come to arrest him. He said, “Why do you come out with swords and clubs and treat me like a criminal? 53 I was with you every day in the temple, and you didn't arrest me. But this is your time, and darkness is in control.”
Peter Says He Doesn't Know Jesus
(Matthew 26.57Matthew 58Matthew 67-75Mark 14.53Mark 54Mark 66-72John 18.12-18John 25-27)54 Jesus was arrested and led away to the house of the high priest, while Peter followed at a distance. 55 Some people built a fire in the middle of the courtyard and were sitting around it. Peter sat there with them, 56 and a servant girl saw him. Then after she had looked at him carefully, she said, “This man was with Jesus!”
57 Peter said, “Woman, I don't even know that man!”
58 A little later someone else saw Peter and said, “You are one of them!”
“No, I'm not!” Peter replied.
59 About an hour later another man insisted, “This man must have been with Jesus. They both come from Galilee.”
60 Peter replied, “I don't know what you are talking about!” Right then, while Peter was still speaking, a rooster crowed.
61 The Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered that the Lord had said, “Before a rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will say three times that you don't know me.” 62 Then Peter went out and cried bitterly.
63 The men who were guarding Jesus made fun of him and beat him. 64 They put a blindfold on him and said, “Tell us who struck you!” 65 They kept on insulting Jesus in many other ways.
Jesus Is Questioned by the Council
(Matthew 26.59-66Mark 14.55-64John 18.19-24)66 At daybreak the nation's leaders, the chief priests, and the teachers of the Law of Moses got together and brought Jesus before their council. 67 They said, “Tell us! Are you the Messiah?”
Jesus replied, “If I said so, you wouldn't believe me. 68 And if I asked you a question, you wouldn't answer. 69 But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right side of God All-Powerful.”
70 Then they asked, “Are you the Son of God?”
Jesus answered, “You say I am!”
71 They replied, “Why do we need more witnesses? He said it himself!”
